Madeira GuideThe Regional Government says a further 12 housing developments are expected to be delivered by October, with projects under way across Madeira.
The Regional Government expects to deliver 12 more housing developments by October, Miguel Albuquerque announced during a visit to a €1 million housing development in Porto Moniz.
Albuquerque said several housing interventions under way have already been completed or are in their final phase. He said public investment in housing would continue, including after projects financed by the PRR close, and that the executive aims to build housing in all Madeira municipalities.
He referred to developments in Tabua, Canhas, Funchal and Câmara de Lobos. Further deliveries are planned in other municipalities, including a new housing block in Água de Pena, Machico.
The 60 homes at Levada do Cavalo are not yet complete but are in their final phase, Albuquerque said. Their delivery should happen soon under the affordable housing programme. He also said a housing complex in the Chamorra area and a new tender for cooperative homes on land near APEL are advancing.
JM Madeira also reported that Albuquerque announced more than 80 controlled-cost homes in Santa Cruz.
