What the app does
The island in 3D, with the real clouds
Madeira and Porto Santo as relief models with the real terrain, roads and towns, and the cloud from the latest Meteosat scan drawn over them, refreshed every ten minutes. Weather, trails, beaches and cameras sit where they are on the ground.
Weather for nineteen places
The north can be in cloud while Funchal is in sun. Each place has its own forecast with the hours ahead, six more on Porto Santo, and IPMA's warnings when there is one.

Shared ridesNew
Going to a trailhead, the airport or the other side of the island? Offer the free seats in your car, ask for a seat or share a taxi, and agree the details in the ride's chat. Nothing is paid through the app.
Ready-made days
Routes drawn on the 3D map, day by day: numbered stops, timings, where to eat, notes for families, and the dates the weather favours. A three-day introduction to Madeira is free, and so are all the Porto Santo days.
Beaches and lidos

Airport wind and flights

Webcams, sunrise, sea, drones
Live cameras around both islands, the odds of a sunrise above the clouds at Pico do Arieiro for the week ahead, sea temperature, waves and tides, and where a drone may fly.
Alerts that matter
A notification when IPMA issues an orange or red warning, when the wind at the airport is strong, or when a trail closes or reopens, and a daily digest you can switch off. All of it is kept in the app's inbox.
What is free and what costs money
Free
Everything above except the seven paid programmes: the 3D map and the clouds, weather, trail statuses, shared rides, beaches, places for children, events, ships, airport, webcams, sunrise and tides. No adverts, no subscription.
Paid: trip programmes
Eight ready-made programmes for a stay of 3 to 10 days on Madeira, with days planned around the weather and transport worked out. "First steps · 3 days" is free, and so are the three Porto Santo programmes; the first day of every other programme is open to read. The other seven are a one-off purchase of about €9.99 each, paid through the App Store or Google Play. Nothing else in the app is sold.
Works without signal
Every screen you have opened stays on the phone: the statuses, the forecast, the beaches, the programmes you have bought. Half of Madeira's roads have no signal, and that is where the answers are needed. Trail lines and the Porto Santo model can be downloaded in advance.
No adverts, no tracking
A free account, made with Apple, Google or a code sent by email, opens trails, places and shared rides, and keeps what you save on every phone you use; the map, today's conditions, tours and routes need none. The app has no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no tracking across other apps. Usage statistics are collected only if you say yes when asked, and go to a server in the EU. Your location is drawn on the map and never leaves the phone.

Questions
- Is the app really free?
- Yes. Everything except seven of the trip programmes is free, with no adverts and no subscription. Those seven are optional one-off purchases of about €9.99 each.
- Does it work without internet?
- Yes, for everything you have opened at least once. Weather, trail statuses, rides and events refresh when there is signal; the island model, trail lines and catalogues are stored on the phone.
- Which languages?
- English, German, Russian, French, Polish and Dutch. The app follows the phone’s language and can be switched in its settings.
- Which phones?
- iPhones with a recent iOS and Android phones with a recent Android. There is no tablet or desktop version; the website covers those.
- Is it a hiking navigator?
- No. It shows each PR trail on the 3D island with its official status, start point and booking information, and can open your navigation app for the drive there. It does not guide you step by step on the trail.
- Where do the data come from?
- Weather from IPMA and Open-Meteo, the cloud from EUMETSAT's Meteosat, trail statuses from the official IFCN list, ship calls from the port authority, events from the organisers' own announcements. The same sources as this website.
- How do shared rides work?
- Someone going your way offers the free seats in their car, or a group shares a taxi; you find the ride by day and route, ask for a seat and agree the details in the ride's chat, which can translate a message written in another language. Nothing is paid through the app: you settle the cost between you. Taking part needs a free account and a profile photo; browsing does not.
