According to the latest information from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), winds are expected to blow from the east, initially at speeds of 31 to 50 km/h, before gradually subsiding to 20 to 39 km/h overnight. These winds will contribute to varying visibility levels, with periods of moderate visibility potentially dropping to poor in the afternoon hours.
The maritime forecast also includes wave heights ranging from 1 to 2 meters along the northern coast of the island. Mariners are advised to exercise caution due to these conditions, which could impact navigation and safety at sea.
