Santana Sky Race Highlights
In the Santana Sky Race, a grueling 22.1-kilometer run with an elevation gain of 1876 meters, Vítor Faria from Estreito emerged victorious. The race started with Emanuel Rolim in the lead, but Faria managed to overtake him, finishing with a time of 2:45:56. This narrow victory was achieved in a fiercely competitive field, with Américo Caldeira finishing second in 2:46:44, and Afonso Simões taking third place with a time of 2:47:09.
Norte Sky Race Victories
The Norte Sky Race, another highlight of the Ultra Skyrunning Madeira 2026, saw Rafael Pacheco from São Vicente clinch victory in the men's category. He completed the 12-kilometer course, which included an elevation gain of 1035 meters, in 1:29:11, surpassing Spanish competitor Iñigo Alzueta who finished in 1:31:01.
In the women's category, Margarida Araújo dominated the race, finishing with a significant lead.
