Underwater Photography Shines in Madeira's CMAS World Cup

Madeira Island once again played host to the prestigious CMAS World Cup Underwater Photography & Video, a key event in the world of underwater imaging. The competition's second day, held on Wednesday, was marked by ideal visibility conditions, allowing participants to capture breathtaking images beneath the Atlantic waves.

The event, considered the most important underwater imaging competition in the North Atlantic, attracted 75 photographers and videographers from six European countries and the United States. These artists returned to the ocean for two additional competitive dives, building on the momentum from the first day's favorable conditions.

The clarity of the ocean waters around Madeira during the event provided an exceptional setting for capturing the diverse marine life and underwater landscapes that the island is famed for.
