Tragic Death in São João, Funchal

In a somber discovery, a man in his 50s was found dead in his home in São João, Funchal. The Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters were dispatched but were unable to save the individual. The local police, PSP, were called to the scene to investigate the circumstances of his death.

Electrical Fire Causes Alarm

On the same day, the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters were also called to handle an electrical fire at Caminho das Voltas, Funchal. The incident occurred near a church, involving five firefighters and a heavy-duty vehicle. The fire, which broke out in the evening, heightened concerns about infrastructure safety in the area.

Cyclist Injured in Machico

Meanwhile, in Machico, a man aged between 50 and 60 suffered injuries following a bicycle accident on Rua do Infante Dom Henrique. The Municipal Firefighters of Machico responded promptly, providing first aid and transporting the injured cyclist to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for further treatment.
