The town of Machico was struck by tragedy when a man in his 80s was found dead in his home on Estrada Dom Manuel I. Despite prompt responses from the Municipal Firefighters of Machico, nothing could be done to save him.
Meanwhile, in Câmara de Lobos, a similar case occurred with an elderly woman in her 80s. The Voluntary Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos were called to a residence in Ribeira da Alforra, only to find that the woman had already passed away.
Violence Strikes in Funchal
In Funchal, a violent incident took place on Rua da Carne Azeda. A man in his 60s was assaulted, sustaining facial injuries. He was quickly attended to by the Voluntary Firefighters of Madeira and transported to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for further treatment.

Another tragic event occurred in the SĂŁo JoĂŁo area of Funchal, where a man in his 80s experienced a cardiac arrest. The Emergency Medical Rapid Intervention (EMIR) team, along with the Voluntary Firefighters of Madeira, arrived swiftly at the scene. Despite their efforts to resuscitate him, the man succumbed to his condition.
