He was subsequently transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.

Two days prior, on April 24, 2026, a 49-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on Rua do Ribeirinho de Baixo, close to the Anadia Shopping Center. She complained of arm pain and was quickly assisted by the Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses before being taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.
