This event, held on July 29, 2026, marked a significant increase from the previous year's 885 participants, showcasing the program's ongoing success.
The initiative, organized by the Secretaria Regional de Inclusão, Trabalho e Juventude through the Direcção Regional de Juventude, highlights the regional government's commitment to youth development and employment. The program not only provides practical work experience but also facilitates the transition of young people into the labor market.
Paula Margarida, a spokesperson for the program, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in equipping young people with the skills and experience needed to thrive in today's competitive job environment. "This program is a crucial stepping stone for many young individuals, offering them a chance to demonstrate their capabilities and gain real-world experience," she noted.
The budget for the program also saw an increase, rising from 440,500 euros in 2025, further emphasizing the government's investment in its youth. Such financial support ensures that the program can expand and offer more opportunities to the island's young population.
