The 5th Santa Cruz Book Fair begins today at the Promenade dos Reis Magos, featuring literature, culture, and entertainment events over five days.

The 5th Santa Cruz Book Fair officially opens today, April 22, at the Promenade dos Reis Magos, promising an enriching experience for both locals and tourists on Madeira Island. This year's fair, themed 'The Most Beautiful Invention in the World', offers a vibrant mix of literary presentations, concerts, theater, and cinema, catering to all ages.

The event kicks off at 9:30 AM with 'Contar com Letras', presented by the Teatro Experimental da Casa do Povo da Camacha, followed by the theater piece 'Os Levadeiro' at 10:30 AM. The fair's diverse program ensures an engaging cultural journey, blending literature with the arts and providing a platform for both well-known and emerging talents.

Highlighting the festival are performances and presentations by celebrated singer and author Luísa Sobral, who will not only discuss her book 'Nem todas as árvores morrem de pé' but also perform a concert. Another notable guest is Raúl Minh'alma, who will engage with the audience on April 25.
