The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere predicts overcast skies with a chance of light rain in Madeira, affecting both locals and tourists.

The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a weather forecast for Madeira, indicating periods of heavy cloud cover throughout the day. The skies are expected to become particularly cloudy by late afternoon, accompanied by periods of light rain.

Residents and tourists on the island are advised to prepare for mild weather conditions. The wind is anticipated to be light to moderate, blowing from the northwest at speeds up to 30 km/h, gradually shifting to the west/southwest as the day progresses.

Temperatures in Madeira are expected to range between a minimum of 21°C and a maximum of 27°C. Similarly, in Porto Santo, temperatures will also vary between 21°C and 27°C.

This weather update is particularly relevant for those planning outdoor activities or excursions on the island. Despite the cloudiness, the mild temperatures offer a pleasant climate for exploring Madeira's natural beauty.

The IPMA's forecast serves as a reminder to both residents and visitors to remain adaptable to the changing weather patterns typical of island climates.
