Cyclist Injured in Gaula

On August 14, 2026, in Gaula, a cyclist was injured in a collision with a car. The accident required the intervention of the Bombeiros Sapadores de Santa Cruz. The male cyclist suffered facial abrasions and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Multiple Motorcycle Accidents in Funchal

Funchal witnessed multiple motorcycle accidents on August 13, 2026. One incident occurred in the Túnel Engenheiro Jaime Ornelas Camacho, involving a 39-year-old motorcyclist who collided with a car, sustaining abdominal injuries. The motorcyclist was promptly taken to the hospital.

Another accident happened at the rotunda of Nazaré, where a 54-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in a shoulder dislocation. Emergency services responded quickly, and the injured man was transported to the hospital.

Later that same day, a third accident was reported on Avenida Calouste Glubenkian, where a 26-year-old man was injured in a collision between his motorcycle and a car. He was treated for injuries to his foot.
