Van Fire in Quinta Grande

In the afternoon, a fire broke out in a van located near a pharmacy in Quinta Grande. The flames were initially tackled by local residents using fire extinguishers before the arrival of the Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters. The fire crew, consisting of nine personnel and three vehicles, managed to secure the area and ensure the fire was completely extinguished.

House Annex Fire in Ribeira Seca

Shortly before the van incident, the Municipal Firefighters of Machico were called to a fire in the annex of a house in Ribeira Seca. Upon arrival, the firefighters found that the fire had already been extinguished. This prompt response highlights the community's vigilance and readiness to act in emergencies.

Road Accident Near Viveiros

Around the same time, a traffic accident occurred at the entrance of the expressway in Viveiros, heading towards Funchal-Caniço. The collision involved two vehicles and resulted in minor injuries to two women in their thirties. They received immediate medical attention from the Madeirense Volunteer Firefighters and were transported to the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further evaluation.
