At approximately 20:51, a young motorcyclist was involved in an accident with a car on Estrada João Gonçalves Zarco, located in Câmara de Lobos. The 21-year-old rider sustained minor injuries and was promptly attended to by the Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters. He was transported to Hospital Dr Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.

Fall Incident in Funchal's Bairro da Ajuda

Earlier in the day, at 10:16, emergency services were dispatched to Bairro da Ajuda in Funchal, where a man in his seventies suffered a fall of two meters. The incident resulted in a clavicle injury and a head wound. The Madeira Volunteer Firefighters immobilized the man before transporting him to Hospital Dr Nélio Mendonça.

Electrical Fire in Funchal

On April 29, 2026, the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters responded to a fire involving electrical cables at Caminho das Voltas in Funchal, near a local church. Five firefighters arrived with a heavy vehicle to manage the situation, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.

Cardiorespiratory Emergency in Funchal

Another serious incident occurred on April 28, 2026, when a man suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on Travessa dos Reis, Funchal. Thanks to the swift response of the Emergency Medical Intervention Team (EMIR) and the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters, the man was successfully resuscitated and taken to Hospital Dr Nélio Mendonça.
