In the early hours of January 16, 2026, a 32-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Rua da Casa Branca. The accident, which happened around 3:50 a.m., led to the man sustaining a suspected leg fracture and multiple abrasions. He was promptly assisted by the Funchal Fire Brigade and transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.
