Road Accidents

In Funchal, a collision between a motorcycle and a car on Estrada dos Marmeleiros resulted in two injuries. The 39-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries to his spine, neck, and knee and was transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for treatment. The 57-year-old female driver, visibly shaken, was also hospitalized after experiencing discomfort.

Another incident in Funchal involved a 51-year-old man injured in a two-car collision on Rua Bela Santiago. He reported cervical pain and was also taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.

Other Incidents

In Machico, a woman in her 60s was lightly injured after being hit by a vehicle on Rua da Árvore. She received immediate medical attention and was transported to the local health center for further evaluation.

Meanwhile, in Cancela, a workplace accident occurred when a man fell from a height of three meters in a warehouse. He suffered a head injury and was bleeding from his mouth. Emergency medical teams swiftly transported him to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for urgent care.

Health Emergency

A separate medical emergency was reported in Funchal, where a man in his 70s suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest at a business on Rua das Murças. Thanks to quick intervention by emergency services, he was resuscitated and transferred to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.

These incidents highlight the ongoing need for safety awareness and readiness to respond to emergencies among both residents and visitors in Madeira.
