However, the visit is notably missing the presence of Paulo Barreto, the Regional Representative of the Republic for Madeira.

The clarification came from Barreto’s office, correcting earlier reports from the Minister's office. Luís Neves began his tour with visits to police stations in Ponta do Sol, Santa Cruz, and Machico, scheduled between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM. These visits are part of the Minister's broader agenda to assess and engage with the police and security infrastructure on the island.
Following the morning agenda, the Minister is set to have lunch with Miguel Albuquerque, the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, at Quinta da Vigia. This meeting is expected to discuss various regional and security issues pertinent to Madeira.
