Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, concluded his three-day official visit to Madeira, which focused on the regional police structures, including the PSP (Public Security Police).
The minister's final day was marred by delays, primarily due to a prolonged morning ceremony celebrating the 148th anniversary of the PSP's Regional Command in Câmara de Lobos. This event extended beyond its scheduled time, impacting the day's agenda.
Initially, Minister Neves was scheduled to arrive at the Regional Command of the PSP in Funchal during the afternoon. However, due to the earlier delays, he arrived later than planned. Despite this, he managed to fulfill the last official act in the Madeiran capital.
The day began with Neves arriving at the Largo de São Sebastião in Câmara de Lobos, where he visited a static exhibition of police equipment. This was followed by the ceremonial session at 11:15 AM, which ran over time, leading to the subsequent delay.
