Invest Madeira, under the auspices of the Regional Secretariat of Economy, is spearheading an initiative to promote the participation of six Madeiran agro-food companies at the prestigious SIAL Paris 2026. This international food exhibition will take place from October 17 to 21 in Paris.
The participation is strategically designed to strengthen the international presence of Madeiran products, attracting new clients and identifying potential business opportunities with international buyers. The event is a significant platform, hosting approximately 8,000 exhibitors and 295,000 professionals, with 85% of the exhibition space already reserved.
Madeira's stand at the event will be managed by Invest Madeira, which is committed to assisting regional producers by subsidizing a substantial portion of the participation costs. This effort is part of a broader strategy to enhance the global visibility and market reach of Madeiran products.
The SIAL Paris is renowned as the world's largest food industry exhibition, offering a unique opportunity for Madeiran companies to showcase their products on a global stage. The 2026 edition will emphasize innovation with features like SIAL Innovation, SIAL Taste, and a focus on startups, including the SIAL Start-up area.
Filipa Ferreira, the executive director of Invest Madeira, highlighted the strategic importance of the event, noting that participating in SIAL Paris could open new markets and increase the visibility of Madeira's offerings. The event also introduces new networking opportunities, facilitated by AI-driven matchmaking in the Meet Match area and the Business Lounge.
