Madeira Teachers Embark on Erasmus Mobility for AI Courses

Six educators from the Escola Básica com Pré-Escolar de Santo António and Curral das Freiras are set to embark on an educational journey across Europe as part of the Erasmus mobility program. This initiative, taking place from June 29 to July 17, 2026, aims to enrich their teaching methodologies with advanced knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The teachers will attend structured courses in three European cities: Prague, Dublin, and Athens. These courses, focusing on integrating AI into the classroom, include 'Integrating AI in the Classroom with Critical Thinking' in Prague, 'Inclusive Teaching with Artificial Intelligence' in Dublin, and 'There is an IA for That' in Athens.
This program is a segment of the EVA (Erasmus na Escola, uma Vida a Aprender) project, which the schools have been promoting to broaden educational horizons and incorporate innovative teaching practices. The EVA project reflects a commitment to lifelong learning and the adoption of contemporary educational tools.
