The Jaime Moniz Secondary School in Funchal will host the 27th annual Week of Clubs, Groups, and Projects from April 27-30, celebrating its dual anniversaries and engaging the community through diverse cultural events.

The Jaime Moniz Secondary School, affectionately known as 'Liceu,' will be the epicenter of cultural and educational activities from April 27 to 30 as it hosts the XXVII Week of Clubs, Groups, and Projects. This annual event, under the theme 'Liceu: Home, Island, Peace, Madeira,' is a significant occasion that celebrates both the school's 188 years of educational contribution and the 80th anniversary of its iconic building's inauguration.

Located in Funchal, the capital of Madeira, the school stands as a historical pillar in the region's educational landscape. The event aims to blend traditional academic values with innovative educational practices, showcasing the extensive work of various school clubs and projects developed throughout the year.

The theme reflects the school's role as a nurturing environment and a beacon of citizenship, emphasizing the connection to Madeira and the broader concept of peace. It symbolizes the school's commitment to welcoming generations of students and promoting harmonious coexistence and knowledge sharing.

Organized by Coordinators Carla Rodrigues and Teresa Rodrigues de Almeida, the program includes thematic exhibitions that connect the school's past and future, workshops, lectures, and cultural performances. This diverse lineup not only highlights the school's rich heritage but also its future aspirations.

As the school celebrates its anniversaries, it reaffirms its place in the collective memory of Funchal and emphasizes its ongoing mission to educate and integrate future generations. The event promises to bring together students, alumni, and the local community, fostering a sense of belonging and pride.
