The 71st edition of Madeira's Flower Exhibition delighted around 80,000 visitors, showcasing the vibrant flora and cultural heritage of the island.

The annual Flower Festival in Madeira, a much-anticipated event on the island's cultural calendar, welcomed approximately 80,000 visitors this year. The festival, which took place from April 30th to May 17th, is renowned for its vibrant display of local flora and attracts both locals and tourists alike.

Organized by the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, the 71st Flower Exhibition and Regional Floriculture Production Contest highlighted the island's rich horticultural traditions. This year, the exhibition featured 52 participants, including both professional floriculturists and passionate citizens, who collectively presented 821 floral specimens.

The event is a central feature of the broader Flower Festival, a celebration that not only showcases the island's natural beauty but also its cultural significance. The festival's grand display includes cut flower stems and live plants, creating a sensory feast for all attendees.

Among the floral displays, 87 exemplary specimens were distinguished for their exceptional quality, a testament to the skill and dedication of Madeira's horticultural community. The exhibition serves as a platform for local growers to gain recognition and for visitors to appreciate the diversity and beauty of Madeira's floral offerings.
