Madeira's Civil Protection Gains Autonomy in Nurse Training for Manchester Triage

In a significant development for healthcare services in Madeira, the Civil Protection Service of the Autonomous Region has gained the autonomy to train nurses in the Manchester Telephone Triage system. This advancement comes after five nurses from the Serviço de Emergência Médica Regional (SEMER) completed an Instructor Course in Manchester Telephone Triage, empowering the region to independently conduct training and requalification in this critical area.

The Manchester Telephone Triage system is a globally recognized protocol used to prioritize emergency calls based on the severity of the patient's condition.
