Madeira's Architectural Gems Nominated for 'New 7 Wonders of Portugal'

In an exciting development for Madeira, four sites under the management of the island's Development Societies have been nominated for the prestigious 'New 7 Wonders of Portugal' competition. This national initiative aims to celebrate the country's built heritage and engage the public in appreciating its historical and cultural assets.

The nominations include the Centro das Artes Casa das Mudas, Fórum Machico, and the Centro Cultural e de Congressos do Porto Santo in the category of '21st Century.' This category is dedicated to structures that have been constructed or significantly renovated since 1985, emphasizing contemporary architecture's cultural and urban impact.
