The funerals of João Manuel Nunes Atanázio, Germano Pinto de Oliveira, Teresa Mendes de Azevedo Fernandes, and José Fernando Gonçalves are set to take place this week, with family, friends, and neighbors coming together to pay their respects.

João Manuel Nunes Atanázio

João Manuel Nunes Atanázio, a resident of Bairro do Espírito Santo and Calçada, Câmara de Lobos, passed away on April 9, 2026. His funeral will be held on April 10, 2026, at the cemetery chapel in Câmara de Lobos, with a Mass at 11:30 AM followed by burial. The family appreciates all condolences and invites those who wish to attend a memorial Mass on April 13, 2026, at the São Sebastião Parish Church.

Germano Pinto de Oliveira

Germano Pinto de Oliveira, who resided on Caminho da Aldeia, Câmara de Lobos, also passed away on April 9, 2026. His funeral is scheduled for the same day as Atanázio's, with a service at 10:30 AM at the same cemetery. A 7th-day Mass will be held on April 15, 2026, at Santa Cecília Parish Church. The Banda Recreio Camponês and the Confraria of Santa Cecília have expressed their condolences, highlighting the community's sense of loss.

Teresa Mendes de Azevedo Fernandes

José Fernando Gonçalves

José Fernando Gonçalves, known affectionately as the brother of Zeca, a local taxi driver, passed away on April 7, 2026. A 7th-day Mass is planned for April 12, 2026, at Santa Cecília Parish Church.
