Madeira has become the center of attention as it hosts the final meeting of the European project Atlantic Innoblue Communities (ATLIC). Held on July 7 and 8, the event gathers international partners to assess the results and legacy of this initiative focused on empowering young people for the Blue Economy.
The meeting, organized by the Madeira Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACIF), marks a significant milestone in the project's three-year journey. The first day is dedicated to reviewing the project's achievements, the execution of various work packages, and discussions on the sustainability of the ATLIC community.
A key highlight of the event is the focus on the impact of the project on young participants, partner organizations, and regional blue entrepreneurship ecosystems. The day concludes with a networking dinner in Câmara de Lobos, allowing international partners to experience Madeira's renowned fishing village and local cuisine.
On the second day, attendees embark on a maritime technical tour along Madeira's south coast. This tour, led by Professor João Batista, offers insights into the island's geological, volcanic, and marine heritage, showcasing the intrinsic link between geodiversity, marine biodiversity, and the Blue Economy.
