Madeira Government Reaffirms Commitment to Integrate 80 Nurses by January
Madeira GuideThe Regional Government of Madeira has once again promised to integrate 80 nurses currently in a recruitment reserve into the Madeira Health Service by January next year.
In a recent meeting held on Wednesday, the Secretary of Health and Civil Protection, Micaela Freitas, reassured that the 80 nurses currently in the recruitment reserve will be integrated into the Serviço de Saúde da Região Autónoma da Madeira (SESARAM) by January 2027. This announcement was made during a discussion with the President of the Order of Nurses, marking their fourth meeting within a year.
Freitas also mentioned plans to open a new recruitment competition, which aims to address the increasing demand for healthcare professionals in the region. This move is seen as a response to the healthcare needs of both residents and the large number of tourists visiting Madeira annually.
The recruitment reserve, which is valid until the end of January next year, is a strategic initiative to ensure that the Madeira Health Service can quickly fill vacancies as they arise. It reflects the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen the healthcare system amid growing pressures.
