JSD São Pedro Highlights IVBAM's Role in Preserving Madeira's Identity

The youth wing of the Social Democratic Party (JSD) in São Pedro recently visited the Instituto do Vinho, do Bordado e do Artesanato da Madeira (IVBAM) to understand its role in defending and promoting Madeira's cultural identity.

Welcomed by Marisa Santos, a board member of IVBAM, the young social democrats were given an in-depth look at the organization's efforts to preserve, certify, and promote regional products. This visit, held on a Saturday, was an opportunity for the youth to see firsthand the significant work being done to uphold Madeira's traditional arts and crafts, including wine and embroidery.

The IVBAM is a key institution in Madeira, focusing on fostering local artisans, producers, and companies involved in traditional manufacturing practices. Marisa Santos highlighted the crucial support IVBAM provides to these entities, ensuring that the craftsmanship and quality associated with Madeiran products remain prominent in both local and international markets.
