The JSD Ribeira Brava organized a community session focused on safety and prevention, highlighting the vital role of local firefighters.

In an effort to enhance community awareness and involvement in safety and prevention, the JSD Ribeira Brava organized a significant event at the headquarters of the Associação Humanitária de Bombeiros da Ribeira Brava e Ponta do Sol. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between the residents and the emergency services that safeguard them daily.

The session featured key figures from the local firefighting community, including the second-in-command of the Corpo de Bombeiros da Ribeira Brava e Ponta do Sol, Duarte Pio, and Estefânio Silva, President of the Associação Humanitária. Their participation underscored the importance of community engagement in safety practices.

Also present was the Vice-President of the Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, who emphasized the municipality's ongoing efforts to support and enhance local safety measures. The event provided an opportunity for residents to engage directly with those responsible for their protection, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and responsibilities involved.

Madeira's unique geography, with its mountainous terrain and remote areas, presents specific challenges for emergency services, making such community-focused initiatives crucial. By educating the public on safety and prevention, the JSD Ribeira Brava hopes to cultivate a more informed and prepared community.

This session is part of a broader strategy to promote preventive measures and enhance the readiness of both the community and emergency responders, ensuring a robust response to any potential incidents.
