This proposal is spearheaded by Deputy BasĂlio Santos, a native of Calheta, who strongly advocates for recognizing Arco da Calheta's development and infrastructure improvements.
The party argues that Arco da Calheta meets the criteria outlined in Law No. 24/2024, which includes having more than 3,000 registered voters, a comprehensive network of public services, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, social services, associations, and a growing economic framework.
