JPP Nominates Isabel Santos and João Ribeiro for National Economic and Social Council

The Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP) party has nominated Maria Isabel Santos and João Guilherme Ribeiro to represent the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the national Economic and Social Council. This nomination will be voted on in the Madeira Legislative Assembly (ALRAM) tomorrow.
Maria Isabel Santos, a university professor and municipal deputy in Funchal, is the main candidate. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Service and a post-doctorate in Integral Human Development from the Catholic University of Portugal. Her academic work includes significant contributions to the history and identity of Social Service, societal transformations, and challenges.
João Guilherme Ribeiro, serving as the alternate candidate, is a Master in Economics from the University of Lisbon and specializes in real estate evaluation. He is a certified property appraiser and holds the international certification of Recognised European Valuer. Ribeiro, a native of Funchal, currently works as an analyst focusing on income-generating properties for financial sector clients.
The Economic and Social Council is a national consultative body that plays a crucial role in advising on economic and social policies. The inclusion of representatives from Madeira ensures that the region's interests are considered at the national level.
This nomination reflects JPP’s strategic choice to strengthen Madeira's voice in national discussions, ensuring that the island's unique social and economic conditions are adequately represented and addressed.
