Jaime Moniz High School Achieves 89% Success Rate in University Admissions

The Jaime Moniz High School in Madeira proudly announces that 89% of its university applicants were successfully placed in the first phase of the national access competition.

The Jaime Moniz High School, a prestigious educational institution in Madeira, has reported a significant achievement in the academic success of its students. According to the Executive Council, 89% of the students who applied for higher education were successfully placed in the first phase of the national access competition.

Out of the 366 students placed, a remarkable 72% managed to secure their spot in either their first or second choice of university, showcasing the high caliber of education and preparation provided by the school.

Popular Fields of Study

The fields of Engineering and Health emerged as the most popular choices among the students. Engineering placements accounted for 52 students, including three who chose Aerospace Engineering at the universities of Lisbon, Porto, and Évora. In the Health sector, Medicine and Nursing were the top choices, with 26 students entering Medicine and 11 choosing Nursing.

Diverse Academic Interests

In addition to Engineering and Health, students showed interest in a variety of other fields. The placements included 17 students in Languages and Business Relations, 13 in Law, 12 in Biology, 10 in Biochemistry, and 9 in Economics.
