The system is designed for non-emergency situations and covers crimes such as theft, robbery, damage, fraud, simple physical assault, domestic violence, and aiding illegal immigration. It is accessible to both Portuguese citizens and foreign nationals residing in Portugal or currently within the country.
How It Works
To use the Electronic Complaint System, individuals must be properly identified, select the type of crime, and provide the necessary details. The platform guides users through the reporting process and allows them to track the status of their complaint until it is forwarded to the appropriate authority.
Not all offenses can be reported online. The service is limited to cases outlined in the Portaria n.º 1593/2007. For ongoing crimes, emergencies, or situations where immediate action is required, individuals should contact the European Emergency Number at 112.
