The Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) has strengthened its response capabilities for handling fires and performing mountain rescues in Madeira. This initiative comes as part of an ongoing effort to improve public safety and emergency response in the region.
Micaela Fonseca de Freitas, the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, visited the GNR post in Caniçal to assess the facilities and meet with the intervention team.
