Around 400 participants will take part in activities across central and coastal public spaces in Funchal.
The 12th Senior Adventure Games will take place in Funchal from 16 to 18 September and involve around 400 participants. Jorge Carvalho, president of Funchal City Council, presented the initiative at City Hall on 8 September.
Activities over the three days will include land navigation, zipline, kayaking, an adventure bridge, guided abseiling, and recreational and traditional games. They will take place at Praça do Município, Cais 8, Baía de São Lázaro, Lido and Ponta Gorda.
The initiative is presented as promoting socialising, physical activity and knowledge of the city. It values the use of public spaces as places for meeting, activity and participation.
