The first recipients of this prestigious award include Felisberto Camacho, a prominent businessman based in Venezuela; José Luís Silva, a revered figure within the Portuguese community in South Africa, who will be honored posthumously; and João Luís, another influential businessman.
The awards will be officially presented by the President of the Regional Government of Madeira in a ceremony scheduled for next Thursday. This event underscores the island's commitment to maintaining strong ties with its global diaspora and recognizing their valuable contributions.
Felisberto Camacho, known for his entrepreneurial success in Venezuela, has been a pivotal figure in enhancing the social and economic bonds between Madeira and the Venezuelan diaspora community.
