Car Rollover in Santa Cruz

At approximately 15:19 on August 6, 2026, a car rollover occurred near the popular Aquaparque in Santa Cruz. The Santa Cruz Fire Brigade was promptly dispatched to the scene. A man involved in the accident sustained injuries to his hand and was taken to the hospital for further treatment. Assault in Funchal

Earlier in the morning, at around 4:00 AM, emergency services were called to an assault on Avenida Sá Carneiro in Funchal. The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered a head contusion and a cut on his lip. He was treated on-site before being transported to the hospital. The situation underscores ongoing concerns about public safety in urban areas.

Fire in Santo António

At 0:30 AM, firefighters were alerted to a fire involving trash on a vacant lot on Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas in Santo António. By the time the eight firefighters arrived with two vehicles, local residents had already extinguished the flames.
