The first incident occurred in Funchal, where a 31-year-old man was involved in a car crash on Caminho de Santo António. The vehicle collided with a wall, but fortunately, the driver managed to exit the car unaided. Emergency responders from the Bombeiros Sapadores do Funchal arrived promptly, providing necessary medical attention before transporting him to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.
Motorcycle and Car Collision
Later in the day, another accident involved a collision between a motorcycle and a car near the Estrada da Liberdade. A 42-year-old foreign woman, who was riding the motorcycle, sustained minor injuries, including abrasions on her legs. She was also taken to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça by the Bombeiros Sapadores do Funchal.
Fire Incident in Monte
Adding to the day's events, the Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses were called to a small fire in a backyard at the Urbanização da Escola do Tanque in Monte. The incident, which was quickly controlled, required eight firefighters and two vehicles. The police also responded, ensuring the fire was extinguished and addressing the matter with the individual responsible.
