A recent malfunction in the air conditioning system of the Loja do Cidadão, located on Avenida Arriaga in Madeira, has led to significant disruptions in service operations. The Agência de Inovação e Modernização da Região Autónoma da Madeira announced that repair and replacement procedures have already been initiated to resolve the issue swiftly.
The Loja do Cidadão, a vital hub for public services, will continue to operate but only for certain essential services. Starting tomorrow, only specific counters such as the Espaço Cidadão (Digital Mobile Key), Balcão DGRM, DRAP – Passports (by appointment only), AIMA, DRAJ – Citizen Card, and CFE will remain open. Other services will be unavailable, although service continuity will be maintained at their respective standalone offices.
This temporary measure aims to ensure the comfort of both users and employees while repairs are underway. The situation is expected to be resolved as quickly as possible, minimizing inconvenience to the public. The Regional Secretariat of Finance has expressed gratitude for the public's understanding and apologized for any disruptions.
