Each of these individuals was a well-respected member of their respective communities, leaving behind families and friends who are deeply saddened by their loss.
Dolores de Ornelas
Dolores de Ornelas, a resident of the Sítio do Lombo dos Palheiros in the parish of São Roque do Faial, passed away on May 26, 2026. Her funeral will be held on May 27, 2026, starting from the Casa Mortuária of the Agência Funerária Freitas and proceeding to the Parish Church of São Roque do Faial. A mass will be conducted, followed by her burial at the local municipal cemetery.
Laurentina Teixeira
Laurentina Teixeira, who resided in Sítio da Bemposta, Água de Pena, Machico, also passed on May 26, 2026. Her funeral services are scheduled for the same day, with a procession from the Casa Mortuária to the Parish Church of Água de Pena, where her body will be laid to rest at the Old Cemetery of Água de Pena.
João José Freitas de Nóbrega
João José Freitas de Nóbrega, from Achada de Baixo, Gaula, Santa Cruz, passed away on May 26, 2026. The funeral will take place on the same day, with services beginning at the Casa Mortuária and continuing to the Parish Church of Nossa Sra. da Graça-Achada de Gaula. He will be interred in the local cemetery.
