Carolina Deslandes, one of Portugal's acclaimed singers, is set to open the Sea Week in Porto Moniz with a highly anticipated performance. As part of the Municipality Day celebrations, Deslandes will take the stage at 10:45 PM, marking the beginning of a week-long festival that highlights the cultural and natural beauty of the region.

The Sea Week, running until July 26, is a much-celebrated event in Porto Moniz, attracting both locals and tourists. It coincides with the 191st anniversary of the Municipality Day, which is also the feast day of Santa Maria Madalena. The festivities commenced with a mass dedicated to Santa Maria Madalena at 2 PM, followed by a formal session at 5 PM at the Multi-use Space of Porto Moniz.

The official opening of the Sea Week took place at 7 PM at the town's waterfront, featuring performances by the Santo António Philharmonic Band and the theatre group Boloo do Caco. As the evening progressed, the audience was treated to a performance by Wilson Correia & Soul Collective, joined by guest artist Jagoda Różycka, at 9:15 PM.

Carolina Deslandes, known for hits like 'A Vida Toda', 'Avião de Papel', and 'Não é Verdade', is expected to deliver a memorable performance. Her concert is the highlight of the opening night and is followed by an American House Party to close the evening's festivities.

This annual event not only celebrates the cultural heritage of Madeira but also serves as a significant attraction for visitors, offering a blend of music, culture, and community spirit.
