Café Memória da Madeira returns this Saturday, June 27, offering a special session on caregivers' physical health. Open to all, this initiative supports those affected by memory issues.

This Saturday, June 27, marks the return of Café Memória da Madeira, a significant community event taking place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Funchal Community Center (Edifício 2000). This initiative is aimed at providing support to individuals with memory issues and their caregivers.

The session will feature Yesenia Ganança, a physiotherapist, who will lead a discussion on 'The Physical Health of the Caregiver: A Fundamental Pillar in Dementia Care.' This topic highlights the importance of caregivers maintaining their physical health to effectively support those they care for.

Café Memória da Madeira is a project organized by Alzheimer Portugal and Sonae Sierra, with backing from the Funchal City Council and the Regional Secretariat for Social Inclusion and Citizenship. It serves as a meeting point for people dealing with memory problems, fostering community support and understanding.

Open to all community members, the initiative not only provides educational resources but also creates a space for sharing experiences and building connections among those affected by dementia and their families.
