Nuno Maciel, the regional secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, was present at the event, highlighting the significant turnout and underscoring the fair's importance in promoting the regional primary sector. Maciel emphasized how events like these help in valuing and bringing attention to the agricultural practices and produce of Madeira.
The auction featured a selection of 13 animals, including 10 lambs, two calves, and one ram. The enthusiastic bidding resulted in all animals being sold, generating a total of €2,510. This outcome reflects the strong interest and engagement from the local community and visitors, reinforcing the fair's role as a key event in Madeira's agricultural calendar.
