Man Attacked in Funchal
On April 13, 2026, a man in his 60s was assaulted on Rua da Carne Azeda in Funchal. The incident resulted in facial injuries, and the victim was swiftly attended to by the Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses before being transported to Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça for further treatment.
Fatalities in Machico and Câmara de Lobos
Tragically, on the same day, emergency responders from the Bombeiros Municipais de Machico discovered the body of an 80-year-old man in a residence on Estrada Dom Manuel I, Machico. Despite their efforts, it was too late to save him.
Similarly, the previous day on April 12, 2026, the Bombeiros Voluntários de Câmara de Lobos were called to a residence in Ribeira da Alforra, Câmara de Lobos, where they found an 80-year-old woman deceased. Once again, there was nothing that could be done.
