A 1991 Honda NSX triumphed in the sports car category at the Machico Classic Car Fest, captivating both locals and tourists with its vintage appeal.

The Machico Classic Car Fest, held on a sunny Sunday, attracted car enthusiasts from all over Madeira to the charming coastal town of Machico. This year, the spotlight was on a 1991 Honda NSX, owned by Andras Cserneiy, which claimed the prestigious "Featured Vehicle – Sports" award.

The event, in its second edition, was organized by the Domingo Clássico Madeira group with support from the Machico Parish Council. It showcased an impressive collection of 175 classic and pre-classic vehicles, turning the streets of Machico into a vibrant display of automotive history.

A Celebration of Classic Cars

The Machico Classic Car Fest is a celebration of automotive heritage, attracting both locals and visitors to admire the engineering marvels of the past. This event not only highlights the beauty of classic cars but also fosters a sense of community among car enthusiasts.

The festival featured ten awards, recognizing excellence in various categories. Among these, the 1991 Honda NSX stood out for its sleek design and exceptional performance, a testament to Honda's engineering prowess.

Machico, known for its historical significance and picturesque landscapes, provides a beautiful backdrop for the festival. The event not only boosts local tourism but also celebrates Madeira's cultural love for vintage automobiles.

Andras Cserneiy, the proud owner of the winning Honda NSX, expressed his delight at receiving the award. "It's an honor to be recognized at such a prestigious event," he said, highlighting the meticulous care and dedication that goes into maintaining such a classic vehicle.
