One man's lifetime of travel souvenirs arranged into themed rooms - horses, stage jewellery, neckties - seen only on a weekday guided visit.

It is here mostly to be ruled out: this is a personal collection rather than a children's museum, and there is nothing in it for an under-eight. An older child who likes strange objects will take it as a curiosity cabinet for an hour, and because everything is guided nobody is left standing in front of a label. There is a quiet tea house and a garden terrace above the city.

Worth knowing: Weekdays only and guided visits only, which rules it out of most family holidays; weekend visits can sometimes be arranged by appointment. Education-service visits are free when booked in advance, so a school or a group of families should ask rather than paying at the door.

Youth 13-25 3 €, adult 26-64 6 €, over-65s 3 €, groups of six or more 4 € a head, family - at least one adult and one minor - 10 €. Under-13s are not in the tariff at all; children are admitted, so ask what one pays.
