Câmara de Lobos is set to experience a temporary water supply interruption for maintenance, while new parking measures aim to enhance safety and organization for residents and tourists alike.

Residents and visitors of Câmara de Lobos, a picturesque town on Madeira Island, should prepare for a temporary disruption in water supply. The Águas e Resíduos da Madeira (ARM) has announced that water distribution system improvements will necessitate interruptions in the potable water supply.

The water interruption will occur on May 22nd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, specifically affecting the Curral das Freiras area in the Colmeal zone. ARM assures the community that they are committed to minimizing inconvenience and appreciates the public's understanding during this period of essential maintenance.

In addition to the water supply news, Câmara de Lobos is also implementing new parking measures to improve the experience for both locals and tourists. Starting May 20th, the Municipal Council will provide constant surveillance and organization services at the bay car park from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. This initiative aims to enhance safety and order, addressing ongoing concerns about disorderly parking and street vendors.

These developments mark significant steps towards improving infrastructure and public amenities in Câmara de Lobos, reflecting the town's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents and the visitor experience.

Câmara de Lobos, known for its charming bay and vibrant cultural scene, remains a must-visit location on Madeira Island. The recent measures underscore the local government's efforts to balance infrastructural development with the preservation of the town's unique character.
