The regional Funcionamento 2030 call pays up to 25,000 euros per company and raises the co-funding rate to 30%, with a fixed amount replacing invoice-by-invoice refunds.

Companies in Madeira have until 17:00 on 4 December 2026 to apply for Funcionamento 2030 (Outros Custos de Funcionamento), a regional scheme that helps with operating costs. Its total budget is 24 million euros.

Micro-enterprises can receive up to 20,000 euros, and small, medium and large companies up to 25,000 euros. The base co-funding rate rises from 20% in the previous call to 30%. Operations on Porto Santo keep a top-up of 10 percentage points.

Each project needs at least 7,500 euros of eligible expenses, and the total cost of an operation may not exceed 200,000 euros. The costs taken into account are those of 2025.

Instead of refunding each invoice, the scheme pays a fixed amount set at approval from certified 2025 accounts. The payment depends on results such as keeping jobs.

The scheme is part of the Madeira 2030 programme and is paid for by the European Regional Development Fund and the regional budget. IDE, the body under the Regional Economy Secretariat that handles support for companies, manages it. Applications go through the BalcĂŁo dos Fundos portal.

Regional Economy Secretary José Manuel Rodrigues said insularity adds costs for Madeiran companies, particularly for transporting goods.
