Civil Protection counted 167 storm incidents by Sunday afternoon. Two cruise calls in Funchal are off and the harbour warnings run until Monday morning.

Four more people were displaced in Funchal on Sunday because of depression Bruna, according to JM Madeira. Two had to leave their homes because of floods and two after a structure fell at their house. The Regional Civil Protection Service puts the total at nine, including a family of five in Santa Cruz whose home flooded on Saturday. RTP reported three more displaced people in Funchal, for a total of eight.

Civil Protection recorded 145 incidents between 08:00 on Saturday and 10:00 on Sunday, mostly fallen trees and floods. JM Madeira lists 50 fallen trees, 35 floods and 15 landslides. Funchal had the most incidents (66), followed by Santa Cruz (31) and Câmara de Lobos (16). By early Sunday afternoon the count had reached 167, RTP reported. The service mobilised 346 staff and 140 vehicles and pieces of equipment.

More than 70 flights have been cancelled at Madeira Airport since Saturday, according to RTP. ANA, the airport operator, said nine arrivals and 11 departures were cancelled and eight flights diverted between midnight and noon on Sunday. The calls of two cruise ships due in Funchal on Sunday and Monday were also cancelled.

IPMA's orange warnings for rain and wind ended overnight, and only yellow warnings are in force. The Funchal harbour authority has extended its warnings for wind and rough sea until 06:00 on Monday. RTP reports that it expects waves of up to 4.5 metres on the south coast and 3.5 metres on the north coast. The authority advises reinforcing boat moorings and avoiding walks by the sea, exposed places and recreational fishing.

Several accesses in the high and coastal areas of Funchal and Câmara de Lobos are restricted or closed, and all classified walking trails in the region are shut.

On Saturday this site reported that two cruise ships had cancelled their Funchal calls.
