Startup Madeira: A Catalyst for International Innovation

In a significant visit today, the Minister for State Reform, Gonçalo Matias, along with the Regional Secretary of Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues, praised the transformative role of Startup Madeira in exporting intelligence and innovation from the island. José Manuel Rodrigues, the regional economy secretary, reflected on the 29 years of Startup Madeira's continuous operation, noting its crucial role in linking research with the business sector. He pointed out that the geographical challenges of insularity are being overcome through digitalization and emerging technologies, transforming Madeira and Porto Santo into global business hubs.
